In September it’ll be two years since I’ve returned from Uruguay.

It also feels like I’ve never been and that it was all a dream. It felt the same as I left NBBI after being there three years. I remember looking at one of my friends after graduation and asking her if the diploma I was holding in my hand was real or if I dreamed it all - in April it will have been four years since that moment.

My life has been in fast forward for as long as I can remember. Of course, it never quite feels that way when I’m going through it, but looking back over the past seven years I can truly see the Lord’s hand in everything. From bringing me to (and through!) NBBI, to truly coming to know Him on a small wooden bench in the woods, to understanding what it is to rely solely on HIS person on a white sand beach, to seeing His love through the eyes of a small child, to seeing the body worshipping at a large church in Costa Rica, to meeting some of the most extraordinary people in the world through it all…

I’ve honestly been blessed beyond anything I could ever have asked for!

In January I decided to take the next step on my journey through life – I’ve decided to step out of the protective Christian bubble for the first time since driving onto the NBBI campus in the middle of potato fields seven years ago.

In September I’m planning on going to College April-Fortier for a five-month course in Travel & Tourism to work in some capacity in the tourism industry. I would love to fulfill my childhood dream of being a flight attendant, but I would also enjoy making vacation packages (une forfaitiste)… there’s a lot that I would enjoy doing but I haven’t decided on one thing in particular yet, I’m just going to wait and see what comes my way. So next Saturday I’m driving into Montreal to sign the lease with my new roommates and take the first step. Am I scared of the whole process? Of course I am! Am I worried about the outcome? Not even a little bit…

It’s just another turn in the fast-forward adventure that has become my life.
