nostalgia.

I'm not sure exactly how this happened, but I ended up re-reading all my blog posts from the past year at 1:00am which is, for the record, not a good idea.

I'll admit that I didn't keep a diary/journal while I was in Uruguay and I'm really thankful I made this blog, because little lessons I learned that I shared with you, will never be completely lost.

Tomorrow I have my debriefing with SIM, which is where I talk with missions representative about my time in Uruguay. It's forced me to prepare mentally and think back on my time over the last year on the other side of the world. I began remembering the times that made me smile, that challenged me and that hurt (literally, I stepped on a cactus once); I began remembering all the blessings I had too.

I also remembered the lessons I learned, about the simple things, like smiling, laughing and just showing Christ's love. I guess the real question is, how can I take those lessons and apply them to my life today?
