Tim Hortons...

In September, I took a job at the well-loved Canadian coffee shop. It's not the first time I've worked behind the dark brown counter, sporting the visor and uncomfortable pleated pants - so I knew what I was getting myself in to.

Nothing starts a weekend like someone walking up to a smiling Ti-Ho's employee and barking a "one cream two sugar" order at 5:30 in the morning. Since I've been working in the food service industry, I've realized how impatient and rude people can actually be. A simple "Good morning" is much too hard to muster.

Here is a challenge to all of you who will be visiting a Tim Horton's restaurant during the Roll Up the Rim contest... Smile. Say "hello". Say "Thank you".
Actually, that works anywhere... but at least try it at Tim's!
