a trip too quick

So I took my final set of holidays last week and it was great! I headed out to New Brunswick and spent a few days there with friends I haven't seen in quite a while. I drove the 8 hour trip (yes, alone... yes, I got REALLY bored) and stopped in a visited with Liz in QC and Tammie in NB and saw everyone else at NBBI. It went but super fast and it felt like a dream the whole time.
So I tried taking pictures to help me remember I was actually there...

I love snow just as much as the next person (or, most likely more than the next person) but when April rolls around I begin to get a wee bit ancy about the sun-to-snow ratio and hope it's in favor of a long summer. And this year there's hope! It's April 3rd and 25 degrees outside... But that's today. A few days ago I began getting desperate - so looking out the office window I decided to go on a hunt for new life. A small flower emerging from the dead ground or maybe a small bug that I would crush after taking its picture. Instead, I came across a small pine tree making it way through the leaves and the newest McLean baby. Not exactly a flower and bug, but I guess they're as good as anything to due honor to this blog title ;)
