Feliz Navidad, Merry Christmas and Joyeux Noël!
I just finished up "the rounds" of family parties - a lot of food. At the last one I think we had enough to feed about 40 more people. I'm not even kidding.
I've come to realize that I enjoy those times. Times of catching up and meeting second-cousins you've never met before.
I've heard of many interesting traditions people have on Christmas eve and the morning and there's some that I'd like to have someday if I have a family. What are some traditions you have? One thing I've learned is to be thankful for the ones you have - they're unique and only yours.
Enjoy today! Merry Christmas!
I was driving down highway 15 and saw a line-up to get to the EXIT that brings you to the ENTRANCE at the farthest corner of the parking lot. The line-up was a kilometer long and the parking lot was packed so tight I'm not sure where the 100+ cars would fit. I sighed a huge sigh of relief out of utter gratefulness that I didn't have to wait in line to get in to a parking lot so full that I would end up stalking people out of the mall to their cars.
So after a delish lunch at Rockaberrys with a peanut chicken wrap that would revolutionize your life and an afternoon at the movies with my sister and 2 friends (we saw "The Blind Side", totally worth it) I braved the Wal-Mart parking lot and goodness! I think I had to walk just about a kilometer to get into the store... or at least 800 meters. But I'm done! Christmas 2009 is officially ready to rock... now, just to wrap the presents.
Do you ever need a change? A new shirt in your closet among the 20 others already hanging there? Suddenly quit your job to get a new, more exciting and challenging one? I didn't buy a new shirt or quit my job but I dyed my hair. It's a considerable change from the bright blonde that I've been for the past 5 years and it took me a couple of days to absolutely fall in love with it! Change is good - you should try it!
I still haven't done my Christmas shopping. I think I might know what you're getting, but I'm not entirely sure. I also don't really want to go out and buy your gift... it took me 4 stores today to find lights for the tree. Monday- Monday is the day I'll face the rest of the world and step out into a mall somewhere on the Rive-Nord... pray for me. haha.
