aww... yeah.

So this is where I spend my evenings... I love it!

deck the halls

It's almost Christmas! As much as I can be scrooge and most of the time enjoy that mindset - I love pretty and not overly obnoxious Christmas decorations. We decorated the lounge yesterday threaded countless strings of popcorn. Can you see the merriment?

a bit of a rant

Sitting here choosing songs for church next week and warming up lunch for the kids (by kids I mean students who are my age) and debating or "discussing" about marriage (hot Bible School topic) - I'm realizing that I'm super content with where my life is right now. In a relational sense, that is. Listening to the Europeans tell me their plans and to the adventure-hearted girls tell me what they hope to have one day if it's in the cards for them, I came to the conclusion I'm just content to be where I am right now. I don't want to decide wedding colors or try to figure out what to make a hungry husband for supper nor do I want to be at the place where I'm counting down until that glorious bed time hour when there will finally be some sense of sanity in the house. *deep breath* I'm pretty comfortable to say right now, I'm not ready for that. And it's so exciting!

I can work, travel, go to school, move to a different country, sleep in until 10 and go to bed at 3 am. I can turn music up reeeeally loud and possibly dance around. I can choose what I want to watch on tv and I can eat frozen yogurt out of the container without anyone giving me "you're not really going to do that" looks! I can decide to be a hermit for a day and wear pyjamas just because I feel like it! Basically, I can do whatever I want and I love it.

I think Michael Bublé said it best in his song "I just haven't met you yet"...
Wherever You Are
Whenever It's Right
You Come Out Of Nowhere And Into My Life

Obviously it's not right yet and I love it because there's so much in waiting for that moment!

crisp walks and numb fingers

- "So what's your street name?"
- " I'm not sure... If you think I live in Rawdon it's Gisele and Chertsey it's Kilkenny..."
Only in Quebec.

terror on 4 legs

Meet Felix. He's cute and small and purrs twice the size that he is. Just when you pick him up and think he's the most adorable softest thing in the world, he'll bite you. Hard. Then he'll run away and hide somewhere he thinks you don't see him and when you walk by he'll jump out and hang onto your leg for dear life. Oh yes, he's my cat. I think if I was a cat, I would do the same. It's pretty funny, especially in the morning. Unless it happens to me... then it's not so funny.

In the last picture, he stunk so bad I washed him. Then he hid for 8 hours...

snazzy websites

I don't think I've used the word 'snazzy' ... ever. In any case I'm sure it got your attention in one way or another. CloverSites.com make "websites for ministries" and it's true! They have affordable websites that are worth looking at for your church, mission org, youth group, small business or whatever. They're clean sites that are very easy to navigate and if anyone has ever tried building their own you know how hard and frusterating it can be to work in the 'graphic' world. I stopped even thinking about building a website once I stumbled on CloverSites. For real though, check them out. They're well worth your time!
