I'll be honest here: I've never heard of the Georgian Bay before. It's a beautiful and apparently well-known bay off Lake Huron (one of the Great Lakes) on which sits the quaint town of Parry Sound. My weekend of sitting around my house in jogging pants was quickly dismissed when I thought "why not?!" for going on a spontaneous roadtrip with my roommates. I decided to go at 10:30 am, a load of laundry and a lot of house cleaning and ipod syncing later and we were on the road at 1:30pm. I was impressed with us.
At about Renfrew, Ontario I came up with a genius plan to "swing" by Niagra Falls on the way home from Parry Sound. Except I knew, but didn't fully understand how that would turn our 8 1/2 hour drive home to an almost 12 hour drive home. All in all, we've listened to almost every song on two ipods, played 20 questions until every question was asked, drove by my parents on the QEW highway in Niagra, learned that I have a very keen eye for the "alphabet game" and the best part of all: it only took about 3 tanks of gas.
