I'm not quite sure what to do with three whole days off and a house to myself. I can sleep in three days in a row and I can wear jogging pants when I wake up! Oh the excitement. When it's all said and done, I think I'm just going to end up staying at home, enjoying and essentially and most importantly doing nothing.
I might browse around online for some new music... any suggestions? Lately it's been a lot of Jack Johnson, Jimmy Needham, Jamie Cullum (do you see the trend here too? so it's not just me?) and I think it's a welcome time for some change.

lazy Sunday morning
While faithfully peeling potatoes this morning Dave asked me if I would like to head over to the cafe in Rawdon to "work". I have some work to do on the internet, but lets be honest here, I finished it in about 20 minutes and I've been just trying to fill my time until Dave comes back from church since that point. I've added some new property pics to our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/capernwrayquebec) and on that note, I also recently updated our photo galleries on our website (www.capernwrayquebec.ca)...
Sitting here in the semi-comfortable Ikea chairs next to the trendy Ikea lamp with the really nice Ikea coffee table in front of me I feel like I'm watching the town of Rawdon walk by in front of me. Since getting here close to an hour ago I think I've seen about 30 people come through for a delicious Sunday morning breakfast- by the way, the chocolate croissants and piña coladas (obviously virgin, come on it was 10am) here are quite good... Odd combination, I admit but there's nothing like chocolate, coconut and pinapple in the morning in my opinion. Anywho, it's been refreshing to get out of the centre for a little bit and sit in a different environment, disconnected from everyone since I'm sitting in the corner with my headphones on but faithfully making eye contact and smiling to everyone who walks by (most of them happen to be going to the washroom..).
When I got to the cafe this morning, I realized that they only take cash but are very strategically placed next to the bank... so I went and overpaid a withdrawl because BMO doesn't think Rawdon is important enough for an ATM- I digress- there were about 30 Mexican workers in there cashing cheques and withdrawing money! They were accompanied by their farmer but I've NEVER felt so looked at in my life and I lived in South America! I think I was being watched by every person in that room and it was a little uncomfortable but funny at the same time because they didn't know that I knew eeeeeeevvvvvverything they were saying. I couldn't help but seriously laugh out loud after I left the packed little guichet room... it felt good.
So today, go ahead, laugh out loud... it's great!

Bug bites and sunscreen
Ah summer... I think I permanently smell like a nauseating blend of Hawaiian Tropic and Watkins but lotion. Yum. But the most important thing is that SUMMER HAS ARRIVED! Yes, the sun is shining and the bugs are few and two weeks ago for the first time I began applying sunscreen- my official indicator of when summer actually begins.
I had the amazing opportunity to go to a spanish-speaking church in Montreal on Sunday and it was just what I needed. What a blessing to be able to speak spanish and praise the Lord in such a beautiful language!
