My time in Argentina was amazing! Although it was a long trip... we left Montevideo at 2am (after being dropped off at the bus station at 11pm) and took the bus, then the boat, then another bus to arrive at Palabra de Vida! We got in at around 1:30 pm. I got to see everyone and meet lots of new people too. It was really an encouragement. We got back to Montevideo at 7:30 this morning after a lot of waiting the night before! I was so out on the boat and the bus, it was incredible! Although my neck is soooo sore today. After putting a load of laundry in the wash and preparing another one I crashed for about 2 and a half hours until lunch. It felt so nice, even though I'm still so exhausted!

In the middle is Zury (pronounced Suri) and her fiancée, Dan and myself. I went to Uruguay with Zury in my third year at NBBI and we've kept in touch since. It was really a blessing to be able to see her again before she leaves for Panama in December and then somewhere in Mexico once she's married!!

I met Andreanne this weekend, she's from Laval and it was so awesome to meet her! We have lot of friends in common and it's so wierd that we met in Argentina! She is doing the translation program at Palabra de Vida and is doing amazing because of her French. It was also so nice to be able to speak in French to someone! I miss it!!!

off to Argentina!

I have some quick news... about the people we work with. We've been invited to begin Sunday morning meetings with the people who live in the housing unit showed above! This is a huge answer to prayer! Thank you to all who have been praying for opportunities to begin meetings :)
I have the opportunity to go to Argentina for 4 days! I'm very excited! Alejandra and I will be travelling by bus and boat across the Rio de la Plata to visit Zury, Joel, Charlie, Marianella and David at Palabra de Vida.

ok so I caved...

I was trying to think of a way to let everyone who wants to know what's happening, know, without overloading email inboxes... after all I did say it was going to be a monthly update. I found a solution! Blogging! For those of you who don't know what a blog is: it's an online journal. I've held out for a long time because I didn't want anyone in the world to be able to read what I'm writing, but who's to say anyone will care about MY blog when there's millions more out there. Plus... it's not listed ;)
Be sure to check often because a lot is happening in Uruguay!
